The performance will depend upon your needs. Prior to booking you may have some questions to determine what your goals are. Company event with mingling and candid photos? Child's party with stories and interactions? Formal family photos with Santa? We can handle all of these with an emphasis on what YOU want. There are no hard and fast rules- we tailor things to your expectations. We don't do a show, we provide an experience.

Growing up in frigid Central Pennsylvania where the snow sometimes makes outdoor decorating hard, Santa Ryan clearly remembers being very young and driving around with his Uncle to look at Christmas lights. From that point on he was hooked! Whether it was the light, the trees, wall hangings, nativity sets, candles, ornaments, wrapping gifts, shopping, making cookies... if it was Christmas related, Santa Ryan loved it. He also began a life-long love of Christmas music very early on. Didn't matter if it was the booming, pipe-organ driven hymns at church or the Disneyland singers on the old record player... if they sang about Christmas, he was in!

One of his family's favorite traditions was bundling up, heading to the mall, and seeing Santa. Nothing came close to the feelings the big guy could give him. He had a Santa figurine about 8" tall that sat on the dresser year round. When VCRs first came out all of the Christmas specials were taped and watched year round. If it had to do with Christmas, and especially Santa, it became part of Santa Ryan's life.

Santa Ryan's first "being Santa" experience was in 1993 when he was in college and working part time at Petstuff (now it's called PETsMART). An unplanned pet photo weekend started and someone was needed to don the red suit. He was bit, peed on, scratched, growled at... and that was just the customers before the pets got to Santa (kidding)! But he loved it, and never forgot how it made him feel.

When Santa and Mrs Claus had their first house back in New Mexico, they started Christmas small with their outdoor display. When they moved to Texas it got a little bigger, and has increased each year. They finally took the computer animated musically sequenced plunge in 2007. Their introduction to that side of the hobby was a bit different than others. In 2006 they found some online Christmas communities it was there that we first met many, many others who shared the holiday hobbies

For over a decade, the Johnsons Christmas Corner has brought smiles and memories to children young and old. In 2009 Santa Claus began making weekend appearances at the musical light display, allowing families to avoid the long lines and photo prices at the malls. The spirit of Santa has a strong pull and soon Santa Ryan was the centerpiece of large-scale corporate holiday parties (200 ), private family events, and personal photos in unique settings.

A few things to keep in mind when considering Santa for your event:

1. It's HOT in Houston and Santa wears some heavy items! We will need to keep the temperature at a comfortable level so you don't have a sweaty Santa! :) We will discuss this in advance of your event to make sure everyone is on the same page.

2. Do you have any special needs? We've done shoots with children who are 13 days old, some have chronic health issues, and some are handicapped. We can work with any of these as long as we know in advance. Santa is quick on his feet so he'll adapt on the spot but knowing in advance helps be prepared.
