Did not show up as scheduled and took deposit.

Santa on the Go never showed up for our Christmas eve scheduled event. He never called to explain. We had many dissapointed children and parents. He also took a deposit which I have not yet seen, but have asked for via email and phone message.

I would understand if he was sick or there was an emergency, but he has never communicated any of that to me and I have given him the courtesy of two phone calls and an email to do so.

Santa Lyle looks like the real deal ! He came with Mrs. Claus and she was a bonus....When he read from his Naughty & Nice Book the kids were mesmerized. We had a very enjoyable visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus on Christmas Eve..

Santa saved the day!

Our company hosted a last-minute Santa day for our employees. With only one week to book a Santa, I was having a difficult time finding anyone with availability on our date of choice. Santa On The Go was the only one to quickly respond to my inquiry and to squeeze us into his already busy day!

He arrived on time with Mrs. Claus and his themed bench. He sat graciously for two hours, taking pictures with over 75 - 100 families. The pictures looked great because he is a natural-looking Santa with a cool bench. Mrs. Claus socialized with the guests and provided refreshments to Santa from our multi-purpose room.

The only issue that I am currently dealing with after our time with Santa On The Go is the payment. I was not provided with clear enough instructions on payment options so I was prepared with a credit card, although Santa could not accept credit cards. We are still working on the payment after 3.5 weeks.

Additional Booking Notes

Preparing for the Santa Visit

1. If Santa is seeing a lot of children I recommend the use of the North Pole cell phone connection. It gets great response but does require a Santa Helper in the audience that has to move around to parents of the children. If it is just a few children in a home visit, before the party, give me some personal information that only you, the child, and Santa would know about. The child's age, favorite toy that Santa has given them, and a major event that the child is proud of or that has recently happened example: a home run, a star on a school project, or even helping Mom or Dad around the house.

2. Make sure Santa has a cell phone number for the party just in case of emergencies.

3. Give Santa clear directions to the party location and availability to the parking areas near by. Santa generally walks in from a inconspicuous location like an alley, a building that blocks the view of the arrival and departure, or even a street a block or two away. If your event is at a company facility, office building or hotel, try to make arrangements for Santa to park in a valet or loading area. You can mark the area with a fun sign.."Reserved For Santa". This makes it easier for me to get in and out easier.

4. Have all your camera gear ready. Have all the videotape, film, memory sticks, and batteries charged so you wont miss any of those photo moments. Santa brings a digital camera and likes to get at least one photo with someone in the party for the web site Gallery. Please check to see if it is ok to have the picture displayed on this site. I never post or reference client's names in any web metadata.

4. Santa must have some gifts, even small ones, for the children. I can arrange to pick up gifts outside your home, or meet prior to the visit. Have your gifts ready. I can carry in one bag of presents for children or guests. They should be well labeled. I suggest a large black marking pen and printing directly on the gift, as tags can easily fall off. REMEMBER, CHILDREN KNOW THE GIFT PAPER YOU BUY OR HAVE IN THE HOUSE AND THEY KNOW YOUR HANDWRITING.... If you have more than one bag, check with Santa since I can bring more than one toy bag and see if there is a way to have the gifts available to have "helper's" bring the extra gifts as the bag gets empty.

5. Get everyone together, before Santa enters. Timing is everything, if everyone is scattered around the house or office, you loose valuable time. I am usually very prompt and will call you if i am going to be more than five minutes late. If Santa is to bring in presents, the person meeting him can help fill Santa's bag. Then, at the right moment, Santa can pop in and join everyone. If you have a large group of children to see Santa, you should assign someone to be Santa's helper and coordinate the order of children as they each visit Santa.

6. A large sturdy chair without arms is best for Santa to sit in. Folding chairs and low chairs (the one's you sink into) are not good. Santa usually likes a chair that is sturdy and stable. A good straight-back dining chair works well. Santa likes to sit-up or on the edge of the chair.

7. Set the chair in a festive setting, usually near your Christmas tree or other holiday setting. Think of the area as if you were in a photo studio and arranged your 'props' and 'backdrops'. You can get ideas by looking at pictures in my gallery. Place a wreath, a few Christmas cards or your children's drawings on the wall to make a wonderful difference. Even some cookies and milk make great props. Leave room for others to gather around and behind Santa's chair for group photos.

8. Think about photos with everyone. Yes, some teenagers will shy away or think it is too childish to have a photo with Santa. Don't worry; Santa can stand up for a "buddy" photo. What about grandma and grandpa? Take a photo with Santa and Grandma Hugging. And, nothing is more fun than having Santa ask Grandpa if he's been a good boy!

9. If there is a balance or payment due to Santa, place it inside a Christmas card or envelope. It never looks appropriate when someone is seen paying Santa. So, as Santa is departing, hand him the envelope and say, "Thank you Santa, and here is a Christmas card from all of us." And yes, Santa accepts tips.

10. After Santa leaves help the children watch the sky for Santa to fly off in his sleigh!! Sometimes at night all you see is Rudolph's red nose. This gives Santa time to leave the building and parking area with out running into the party goers as they drive out of the parking lot!!!
