Rhonda Knight is an International Author who has written a book on her ordeal of surviving attempted murder and rape. The book was released in February 2011 and was followed by a NATIONAL speaking and book signing tour that included stops in several states and then it will continue across New Zealand in 2013, with a visit to Australia!
The book is entitled: BLESSED SURVIVOR My Journey from Survival of Attempted Murder and Rape to a Purpose Filled Life. The hit TV show, "I Survived" contacted Ms. Knight about her story and the Discovery Channel in the UK approached her also. Rhonda is the Founder of Uplifting Hearts, Minds & Souls (H.U.M.S.). Ms. Knight is on a mission to make a change in our nation. She is very dedicated in the fight to help stop violence towards women. She feels that this is a part of her calling and purpose on this earth along with the other areas of ministry God navigates her through.

Rhonda says she's a very proud mother/grandmom of 5 beautiful daughters, 4 handsome grandsons and 2 lovely granddaughters and one on the way!
Ms. Knight is also an Evangelist and says this gift is one that she cherishes in her heart. Not the title but the gift that God has given her. I hope to live my life as an example, I would rather walk the walk than talk the talk.
Among other things, Ms. Knight has piloted a program called Uplifting Neighborhoods. This project is in two parts, one is a program called H.U.M.S. Heroes designed to help under privileged children cope with the issues in their neighborhoods. It trains them in drama which leads into drama therapy for healing. The second half of their program emphasizes safety training, mannerisms and helping to beautify the community. The other, H.U.M.S. Hopegivers is geared towards women in those communities with programs to help with issues such as domestic violence, dating violence, rape etc. It is a project that trains and empowers these women to eventually run the program themselves. Thus encouraging a cycle of neighbors uplifting each other and building up their communities!
Rhonda had also been a regular and frequent speaker as well as mentor at Vista Maria, a fairly large girls juvenile facility located in Michigan. Sadly the majority of these girls have been victims themselves which more than likely attributes to their acting out, she exclaims.
As mentioned, she currently does a television show and an international radio show, the show "Uplifting" gives a voice to survivors and is comprised of expert panelists. Its unique design is formatted to inform and educate this nation and world's viewing audience and to encourage community involvement. it is also structured to deal with cultural and/or religious challenges victims may face.
Ms. Knight is a certified member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and has training in 30 areas of study to help meet the needs of those seeking counseling. In addition Ms. Knight has ten Continuing Education-Psychology and Counseling certificates in the Sexual Trauma Series through Regent University. She is also a member of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS) and the National Association of Drama Therapy ( NADT). Ms. Knight is currently pursuing her BA in Theological & Biblical Studies with a minor in Psychology and plans to get her PhD afterwards.
Previously to her Speaking professionally and her career as an International Author, Ms. Knight enjoyed an extensive career as an Actor, Writer, Director, Producer, Professional Theatrical Makeup Artist and Instructor of Drama. She has experience in the technical aspect of theatre too, doing lighting, some basic sound, stage management, technical directing and set design. Because of owning her own production company, it equipped her to be successful in producing, marketing, advertising and promoting as well as putting on major events. She's even done clowning and professional face painting! She states she still performs and is available for any of these noted positions as well.

National Speaking/Book signing Tour:
powerpoint happens first while crowd is gathering then I speak for about 15 minutes and next the book signing occurs. NOTE I need a clear white or light colored wall to project the presentation on and to hang our banner. 2-4 volunteers needed as well depending on number expected to attend. You must have at least 30 people minimum up to unlimited maximum in attendance.
This will be about a 23 states, 6 months NATIONAL SPEAKING AND BOOK SIGNING TOUR that ends in New Zealand with a visit to Australia. Contact us for the city and states tour dates that may not be listed yet. Other states can be added if the schedule allows for this.
To host a Speaking and Book Signing event we ask that you cover airfare for 2, hotel accomodations and per diem. Ms. Knight does not charge for speaking however a love offering or honorarium is appreciated as it helps her to continue with the ministry of this book. This event is usually free to the general public however some hosting venues may charge a reasonable fee at the host's discretion.
Play productions:
Require a stage/platform, furnishing, props, lapel, ear or head mics, lighting and sound, dressing rooms, water/beverages and fruit/snack trays in dressing room. A detailed list of what the booking party must supply will be provided prior to show. A time frame to rehearse in the performance venue and a separate dress rehearsal is mandatory.
Outside events:
Will require a tented area that is blocked off for crowd control and two or more 6-8 feet tables and chairs to accommodate our needs. Plenty of bottled water/beverages and snacks.
Any additional needs will be detrimined based on each individual situation.

SPECIAL 2 PART SERIES
“MY STORY” AND “MY TRAINING”
In this 2 hour program, you’ll her Ms. Knight’s moving story
as she speaks from the heart and encourages her listeners; then you’ll participate in a self defense training conducted by Commander Dale Brown, Founder of Threat Management Centers or one of his professionally trained staff members. It is this training that gave Ms. Knight the confidence to face her fears after her attack. She says it empowered her and educated her on things like how to read criminal body language, how to use simple moves to stay safe and if necessary, how to immobilize an attacker. H.U.M.S. partnered with Threat Management to be able to offer other women this same freedom. The art form used is a unique blend of a variety of martial arts, military and most importantly street combat, which is what most criminals use. Commander Brown created this brilliant art form called “Eclectikan” which is proven to be quite effective! This interactive program will demonstrate easy moves that the participants can learn and utilize when needed.
