I am a professional jazz drummer with a B.A. in Music Performance. I played in the 55th U.S. Army Band. I toured in jazz and gospel groups in France and Germany, Africa and Japan. I have also recorded on the Atlanta Jazz and Blues Public Television station with the Kevin Roberts Jazz Quartet, as well as several studios in Chattanooga. I also played with several notable jazz musicians when they came through Chattanooga. To name a few: Mark Bowling, Tony Williams, Wilford Middlebrooks, and Beegie Adair. I currently play with three jazz trios in the Chattanooga area, as well as with the Jazz Quintet, Steely Mon in a Music in the Schools program.

I am a person of integrity and a man of my word. I usually go to the venue the day before the gig or several hours before to to make sure that I can arrive on time. I do not smoke, drink, or partake of any illegal substance.
I was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey. I graduated from nearby Pleasantville High School. I accepted the Lord in 1968 while in the Service. I also completed the Armed Forces School of Music before being stationed in Huntsville, Alabama where I played in the 55th U.S. Army Band. Upon discharge, I attended Indiana University on a music scholarship. Because I was looking for a Christian education, I transferred to Covenant College, where in 1976 I graduated with a degree in Music Performance. I have been a member at New City Fellowship since 1976 and have served there through the music ministry and also as an elder. I received my M.S. in Criminal Justice from UTC in 1985. I recently retired from being a manager with the State of Tennessee after working 30 years in Probation and Parole. I have been married for 33 years to Rachel Landrum Crumble. We have 3 children, Danielle (27), Dallas (25), and Christian (16).
