About
My name is Denise Cold. I live in Orem near Utah Valley University. My husband is a professor at UVU. I'm a mother of 5 children and grandmother to 2. I've worked in Utah County as a graphic artist doing promotional materials for Prudential and Affiliated Realty Group and for the UVU Alumni Association. I started face painting to continue the creativity I enjoyed in graphic arts and have LOVED every minute of it.
At corporate or large events I work with my daughter, Emma. You may have seen us at Orem Summerfest, UVU Alumni Family Fair or the Freedom Festival in Provo. She does our glitter tattoos and also helps me paint at large fairs.
At private parties I'm able to do my best work. I can do jungle animals, fairies, princesses, butterflies, pirates, dragons, super heroes, skulls, masquerade masks...about any theme can incorporate face painting. At corporate events I provide fabulous designs that take 3 minutes or less so that your employees or guests remember yours as a great event. It gets people talking and interacting together and getting to know each other better.
I also offer a new type of painting to Utah called gestational art. It's the painting of a design on a pregnant belly to capture the special time in a woman's and baby's life. I can combine a gestational art sitting with a bridal shower and paint the guests to match with a flower or butterfly to match the mother's design.

Influences
I've trained with Pashur, Mark Reid, Wiser, Wolfe Brothers and many more professional instructors at conferences and workshops and I think my work shows my dedication to the craft. I am a member of FABAtv to continue my training with online courses from the top artists around the world. I also am a member of the Face Paint Forum, an online community of artists to share my craft, glean new design ideas and learn about the latest innovations in face painting.
I also do my own Yotube instructional videos aimed at helping other face painters understand the latest products and techniques available on the market. I really enjoy it and have recruited my daughter Emma as a model in many of them.
