Influences

Lead Painter Amy DesChenes has taken workshops from and is strongly influenced by the following body artists: Pashur, Mark Reid, Sean Avram, and face painter Kerry Ann Smith.

In the other arts she is highly influenced by science fiction movie make-up and book cover art, as well as the fairy world's discovered and illustrated by Brian and Wendy Froud. Amy is also a fan and collector of posters and design of the Art Nouveau period, especially the works of Alphonse Mucha.

Paint the Moon Blue is insured through Specialty Insurance Agency; Performers of the US & Vendors of the US. The policy provides protection against bodily injury or property damage to a spectator during or premises during our performance.

We use ONLY FDA certified cosmetic grade cosmetics and cosmetic glitter and adhesives in our work. All our henna is free of PPD and other chemicals. It is pure Body Grade henna with aromatherapy grade oils and lemon juice. (not suitable for people with citrus allergies).

All glitter tattoos are applied with a latex-free adhesive that can be removed with baby oil.

Our twisting balloons are 100% LATEX Rubber. (not suitable for people with latex allergies).
