About

Orquesta Taboga was established by Winston Peck in 1980 in LA California to perform
Latin style of music in LA clubs and festivals, socials and different parties.
In 1988 Winston Peck relocated the group to Atlanta GA where group continues to
perform in different clubs, restaurants, festivals, Latin dance socials, accompaniment of popular
singing performers.
Orquesta Taboga now is an Atlanta based group comprised of eleven musicians from
various parts of Caribbean and the United States: two trumpets, two trombones, piano, bass,
timbales, congas, bongos, and two vocalists who also play various percussion instruments. The
group performs salsa, meringue, cumbia, cadence, cha-cha, and another various styles of Latin
music that represent a cross section of the composite Latin American culture.
Taboga has performed in different events around GA and nearby states, Just to mention
a few:
Several Jazz festivals in Piedmont Park, Festivals in Hilton Head Charlotte, Clarksville and
Savannah. Group shared billing with popular Colombian group Grupo Niche, Johnny Ventura,
Willy Gonzales. As well as played Concerts in Fox Theater, GA State University, International
party event in Six Flags, Microsoft Conference party in Sentential Park, Fest in Atlanta Zoo, GA
All of Fame in Macon, Two Lakers party in LA 2003 , for many years group performed in Havana
Club, Loca Luna, Club Kaya, and many other places. Presently playing with the smaller group at
Eclipse de Luna.
