Why hire When Paula Plays . . .?
I teach mountain and hammer dulcimer, conduct workshops which includes beginning/intermediate workshops, how to make a chord, where to begin when playing in a jam session.
I play background music for wedding receptions, pre-ceremony or during the ceremony, as well as birthday, anniversary, or general events receptions.
I play for Christmas events during the holiday season for receptions, banquets office or private parties. I play Folk, Celtic, gospels, some musical tunes, Civil War and French/Indian tunes played in the mid to late 1700's at festivals.
I play the penny whistle, too.
What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 60 - 180 minutes
I play background music for wedding for any kind of receptions, for an hour up to four hours. I take a 15 minute break after playing one hour.
At weddings I can play from a half hour to 45 minutes as guests are seated, during the processional, the lighting of the unity candles, and the recessional. I will continue to play as until all guests have left.
I play special Christmas tunes during the holiday season for receptions, banquets, office or private parties.
I play during retirement receptions, too.
I play a variety of Folk, Celtic, gospel, limited musical tunes, gospel, and Civil War or French and Indian tunes at festivals.
I've also lead work shops for both the mountain and hammer dulcimer which include beginning and intermediate, what makes a chord and beginner jam workshops
Stage/Setup Requirements:
Sound system & Mic if available. If not, I have my own sound system.
Additional Notes:
Not necessary for lighting unless you want it for your venue.
I need area space where you want me to play.
