What to expect
Ryan Edward Kotler delivers performances rooted in honesty, soul, and connection. Whether playing solo with an acoustic guitar and harmonica or adding subtle accompaniment, each show is built around the feeling in the room—and inside himself. His setlists balance original material with timeless covers—songs that have personally shaped him as an artist and still mean something to him today, usually in the very moment he’s playing them.
No matter the setting, Kotler’s goal is to meet the audience where they are, and his vehicle for achieving that is soul-bearing authenticity. He tailors every performance to the energy and needs of the venue, moving seamlessly between heartfelt originals and reimagined classics from the American songbook. You won’t hear anything overly polished or forced—just genuine performances that capture a moment in time.
Every show is different because every night carries its own truth. What audiences can expect is authenticity, conviction, and rare emotional transparency: a songwriter bearing his soul through the songs that made him—and continue to evolve with him.
About
Ryan Edward Kotler is a folk-blues and Americana singer-songwriter whose music blends poetic storytelling with a raw, guitar-driven edge. Performing since the age of twelve, he’s spent years carving out a sound that bridges the honesty of folk, the soul of blues, and the fire of rock ’n’ roll—guided by a deep instinct for how to shape that sound to each audience he meets.
His performances—and his artistic ethos—are built around genuine connection. His songs live and breathe in the room, shaped by experience and story, yet malleable to the touch of each new audience. Whether behind a guitar, piano, harmonica, or any combination, Kotler’s soulful voice and unique blend of influences carry a quiet but unapologetic intensity—and an earned truth that draws listeners in and keeps them there.
Recent appearances include The Church Studio Presents: Ryan Edward Kotler at Tunes @ Noon in Tulsa, Oklahoma; the 85th National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C.—which drew over 60,000 attendees per day along the Tidal Basin; and the Springboard West Music Festival in San Diego, California—the 21st festival of its kind in 13 years of celebrating emerging independent artists.
Whether performing solo or with accompaniment, Ryan Edward Kotler brings a sense of craft, conviction, and emotional depth to every stage—offering evocative performances and songs that linger long after the lights fade.
