MollyDrive is Salt Lakes Best Oldies/Classic Rock and Rockabilly Band. We are a 4 person band and all 4 of us sing adding great variety and harmony to our shows. Our guitarists use Gretch hollow body guitars and Mike our bassist uses a upright bass adding to the authenticity and energy of our rockabilly sound. We can perform in both electric and acoustic formats. We can customize our PA system to fit very small to midsized venues. We all had the best time and was able to dance and sing along with all the great tunes. The lead singer has an amazing voice and can do/sing just about anything! I will definitely be following this band.

I found Molly Drive to be truly entertaining. Playing many of my favorite songs I considered it to be a fun evening for myself and my family. My son who hopes to one day be a drummer especially likes the drummer of the band. I believe his name is Wes. This band is one that makes it seem so easy, seamlessly flawless and will make you smile. All in all "I like em' Dick. They have a good beat and you can dance to em'".

About
The makings of MollyDrive began a long time ago when Steve King Joined with Wes Furgason and Larry Wilson in a band known as the Beginning. The Beginning became one of the most popular local bands in the Salt Lake area performing 2 to 3 times per week for a very loyal fan base. As they say all good things come to an end and eventually the beginning did just that. About 20 years later Drummer Wes Furgason was playing in a local cover band called Monrovia. Although Monrovia was keeping busy and making money it just did not compare to the fun and success he enjoyed while playing with Steve and Larry as the Beginning. One day while surfing the net Wes decided to look up his old friend. Truth be told it was Wes' intention from that time to recruit Steve into a new band. Fortunately Steve came along with little coercion. Steve and Wes began working on an acoustic set and played a few shows with excellent reception from the listedners . MollyDrive continues to develop with the addition of Randall Hodgson on lead guitar and Mike Rohde with Bass/Vocals. Oddly enough it was Facebook that put us together, said Wes Furgason. Randall has lived the next street over from me for the past 9 years and I never knew it. It wasn't until I saw a performance video of Wolfgang on Facebook that I found out about Mike and Randall. Mike and Randall have enjoyed a musical friendship since their high school years. Mike and Randall still perform regularly with the rockabilly band and are worth checking out. As for MollyDrive we feel that the current line up is here to stay. Every one is very excited about the potential and proud of what we have been able to accomplish so far.
