Mike is one of the most genuine people you will meet and is a rare find in the world of
teenage motivation. Many people have said that he has an incredible capacity to connect
with adolescents. Maybe it’s because he still wears his hat backwards and rides skateboards.
For the past 17 years, teenagers have been his life and his passion, coming alongside them and guiding them to help them navigate adolescence well. There are hundreds of people who would point to him as a positive personal mentor and role model in their lives during their middle and high school years. His education includes a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University, during which time got his start mentoring teens with an area non-profit.

JIGSAW (Mike's brand new book for teens)

Mike wanted to create a lasting impression on the young people he speaks with and to,
so he wrote a book for them. This book is the result of years of personal introspection, and
thousands of hours with teens, as a leader/mentor and friend. Within the pages of this
unique project, teens are captured by stories and metaphors, and are led to observe and
process their own life experiences. After all - life is a jigsaw puzzle coming together.
Experiences and opportunities are the pieces of each person's life story, and how each
person assembles and uses these pieces creates the final picture. What that final picture
depicts will not be an accident, but a culmination of the choices we make along the way,
the people we chose to connect with, and the perspective that we hold.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 30 - 60 minutes

Blending HUMOR, THOUGHT-PROVOKING STORIES, POWERFUL ILLUSTRATIONS and PROPS, Mike will have any size group of students ENGAGED.

Mike will challenge students to consider the BIG PICTURE they are creating with their life and give SOLID ADVICE on how to achieve a greater life than they ever imagined.

Mike is a committed Christian, but absolutely HONORS the public sector when it comes to his faith story. In a faith environment, Mike weaves stories from scripture into his message.

The following items must be in place 2 hours before program.

MICROPHONE
Wireless Lapel Mic(Best & Preferred)
One handheld wireless microphone and a mic stand(Second best)
• One handheld microphone with 30 feet of cord and a mic stand(Last resort)
SEATING ARRANGEMENT
Please sit audience directly in front of stage theater style. No seating behind or to the side. If using a gymnasium, sit students only on one side with the remainder on the gym floor.
WATER
Please provide 2 bottles of room temperature water on stage
STAGE
If using an auditorium, Mike prefers an extremely well lit, open and empty stage. Mike does not need a podium. If using a flat room, provide a riser at least 12 ft wide and 8 ft deep.
FOOD
Snack tray(fruit/cheese/crackers, etc)
MERCHANDISE TABLE
Please have a table and chair ready for post-speech meet/greet. Please provide 1 mature volunteer to help sell books/other items. Mike keeps 100% proceeds from the sale of such items.
WORKSHOP
If Mike is presenting a workshop, please provide Mike a quality sound system and microphone(if 30 attendees), one white board, and dry erase markers.
