My wife and I looked for bands to play at our wedding in Des Moines and we weren't satisfied with the local options so we expanded our search to include Omaha and found the Mighty Nish Band. My wife and I liked their webpage and setlist and they were willing to travel to Des Moines to play for a set fee. We were a bit apprehensive about hiring a band that we had never heard live before, but as soon as they started playing at our wedding we were very delighted with their talent and music selection. They are very creative, and sometimes use costumes during their songs(ie an Elvis mask), which gets everyone in the mood to let loose and have fun. If your looking for a band to play at your wedding, go with the Mighty Nish Band, and you won't be disappointed.

A great, good time, entertaining band.
I hired the Mighty Nish Band for a community dance club event. We had a great time. I had viewed their Youtube videos, and although good, the video doesn't do them justice. They were far better in person! They played to the crowd and kept everyone dancing all night. Thank you Mighty Nish Band.

The Mighty Nish Band is a high energy rock band whose unique sound comes from their ability to mix popular songs from the 50's to the present with powerful four part harmonies, unique arrangements and a touch of humor. The performance is not just a collection of enjoyable songs but rather a fun interactive show with audience participation. Once the dancers are on their feet the Mighty Nish Band keeps them there with a tight rhythm section and impressive solos to entertain the dancers and listeners alike.
Everybody asks, "What is a Nish?" Once the music starts they find out that a Nish is a party and the Mighty Nish is a party band. People will be on their feet with smiles on their faces. Everyone will be talking about that great band with the crazy rock and roll accordion – yes, accordion. A Nish is just plain fun for all ages.

The Mighty Nish Show is high energy with lots of surprises. Your favorite songs are fused together with a tight groove, four part harmonies, and crowd interaction. The time between songs is as short as possible to keep the dancers on the floor and the party jumping. Fun is the only rule.
