I am a classically trained violinist and out of my twelve years of violin study, I have been playing professional gigs for the past two years. I most frequently play at private dinner parties and weddings.

My husband and I booked Maxwell Violin to play at our wedding in Dallas in October 2012. They were one of our favorite wedding vendors, both for the amazing performance they gave and the ease of communication and planning!
Kelsey and her associate Sofia played the music for our wedding ceremony and for the cocktail hour that followed. They are both extremely talented violinists, and they played absolutely beautifully. Both their repertoire and their music library is expansive, and the set they played was clearly well-thought out and practiced. I received quite a few compliments from family and guests on our choice of musicians!
They were also really great to work with during the planning process. They were incredibly accommodating of all my specific music and song requests, and provided helpful guidance when I was didn't know what direction to go or when wedding brain kicked in and I lacked the willpower to make another decision (haha). All of my interactions with Kelsey were prompt, professional and easy, which was so helpful to us since we were planning our wedding from out of state.
I can't thank Maxwell Violin enough for the awesome job that they did! My husband and I highly recommend them for any event!

About
I am a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. I currently study at The University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston. Throughout my college career, I played steady gigs at my local church, as well as various wedding and dinner party gigs to supplement my income. I can improvise or rehearse pre-arranged music along with musicians of any genre, or perform solo pieces. My experience has largely been classical, although I have recently been branching into fiddle, blues, and jazz.

What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 30 - 240 minutes
My performances are soulful and engaging to the audience. My client will be incredibly pleased with the musical atmosphere I create.
Stage/Setup Requirements:
Chair for sets greater than 2 hrs.
Additional Notes:
I provide my own transportation and music stand. My stand does not have a light fixture attached.
