LINCOLN HAURY is a classically trained professional violinist, and lead violinist for up-and-coming powerhouse bands Fetish 37 and Face Cards. Lincoln began playing the violin at the age of nine. Since then, his passion for music and mastery of the violin have inspired him to play professionally. His first attempt at playing solo on a street corner in Arcata in 2002 was rewarded with $25 in tips and a tremendous boost in confidence. His resume includes the Sierra College Chamber Orchestra; the Humboldt Symphony Orchestra; various rock, jazz, and bluegrass bands including Bias, Lo-Fi Breakdown, and The Cutters; many weddings, parties, and other special occasions; and toured natonwide with The Datura Blues. He has also been featured in the Eureka, CA Times-Standard and the Arcata Eye newspapers.
One of Lincoln's favorite activities is taking his violin to karaoke and playing along with whatever is being sung, much to the surprise and awe of the crowd. Lincoln also enjoys reading, horseback riding, blacksmithing, camping, biking, walking his two dogs, and traveling the US and the world with his wife Linda. He is an Eagle Scout, studied Forestry at Humboldt State University, and has worked in a variety of professions including construction, customer service, and retail management.
