Biography:

LAURA and her band have headlined at over 1000 events worldwide. Laura has sung, by request, for the former Mayor of New York City, and has also played at a Presidential Inaugural Celebration. MS. THEODORE’s national television appearances include Good Morning America, America’s Talking, Phil Donahue, Robert Klein Prime Time, and the CBS New Year’s Special. She has played with her band at at many jazz festivals, and performed at major events such as Night of 100 Stars, Fire & Ice Ball, and The American Film Awards.

Laura Theodore's Jazz Band has topped the bill at the foremost New York City clubs, including The Bottom Line, Town Hall, The Village Gate, The China Club, Studio 54, and The Rainbow Room. Laura has had six critically acclaimed Jazz CDs out, and her debut disc, Tonight’s The Night, garnered a Musicians Magazine Award. Her recent Big Band CD, What the World Needs Now is Love is described by jazznow.com as “a must buy for those who like Jazz vocals.”
