BENNIE WHEELS--JOHNNY CASH: Bennie Wheels began his entertainment career as an Elvis Tribute Artist. Although he has a successful career working for Dallas' top look-a-like agencies, many contest wins under his belt, and performing live concerts, private parties, corporate events, etc, Bennie realized that among 100,000+ other Elvis Tributes, his success was very limited in a flooded market.
After the hit movie "Walk The Line", Bennie was drawn to the story and music of Johnny Cash. And after a visit to Sun Records (Memphis, TN) in Aug '06, Bennie made a vow to learn how to play the guitar that had been collecting dust in the corner of his office, and begin his tribute to The Man in Black.
Bennie soon realized that he had an uncanny similarity to Johnny Cash's vocal range...even in his normal speaking voice. And it wasn't long before he realized that his Cash tribute was his road to success.
RENEE' WHEELS--JUNE CARTER: Renee' Wheels, Bennie's wife, has given her complete dedication and support by performing the fiery tribute to June Carter in his act. She not only looks and sounds like June, but also delivers that country rasp and natural charisma that June possessed. Together, Bennie and Renee' share the same chemistry that the actual Johnny and June had onstage. The real love they have for one another is what pushes this tribute over the edge and makes it believable.
DAVE ERVIN--LUTHER PERKINS: Originally from San Diego, CA, Dave Ervin is practically a life-long musician, playing everything from Christian Praise to Classic Rock. He has also worked with various cover projects, consisting of pop and light rock. He has taken his talents throughout California and Utah. Currently, Dave resides in Coppell, TX. He is the director of the praise team at his Church, lead guitar for Dallas based Celtic group, "Brothers 3", and recently in 2007, has joined “Walkin’ The Line”, taking on the tribute to the “Boom-Chicka-Boom” style of Luther Perkins.
FRANCHOT JOHNSTON--MARSHALL GRANT: From Rockabilly to Western Swing to Blues, Franchot Johnston has been playing Doghouse Standup Bass the old fashioned way…slappin’ gut strings ‘til his hands bleed! Franchot has torn up the Texas Rockabilly scene for many years, performing covers and originals with many local and touring Artists. Franchot not only contributes the awesome visual effect of the stand-up bass, but also the talent and natural charisma to serve justice to his tribute to Marshall Grant.
ROBERT STANOVICH--W.S. HOLLAND: Originally from Biloxi, MS, Robert has been a professional musician for over 20 years. With a music performance degree from UT, Robert has performed in Broadway productions, was drummer with his command’s band (while serving our Country in “Desert Storm“), and has taken on many different successful tribute projects. Robert is an amazingly versatile drummer, providing the foundation to “Walkin’ The Line” that even W.S. Holland would be proud of.
Dedicated to keeping the music and image of Johnny Cash as authentic and sincere as possible, "Walkin' The Line" is the closest thing onstage to Johnny Cash, June Carter, and The Tennessee Three the World has ever seen!
Bennie Wheels and "Walkin' The Line" are available to travel any distance and perform at any event. Once you see them in action, there is NO doubt that Johnny Cash's legacy continues to live on!

What to Expect
The most authentic recreation of a live Johnny Cash concert...straight out of the late 1960's "Folsom Prison Era". "Walkin' The Line" is a note for note tribute to Cash's greatest hits, plus many of the great forgotten tunes such as "Rock Island Line", "Orange Blossom Special", "Sunday Morning Coming Down", "Long-Legged Guitar Pickin' Man", "Darlin' Companion"...The list goes on and on.
Not only is the music there, but when you hear the vocals of Bennie Wheels, you will believe the Man in Black is with us once again. He is the complete package. Bennie not only sounds like Johnny, but also has the look and mannerisms down. Bennie has spent many hours studying video and audio, and strives for perfection with his tones, pronunciation and movements. Add all those ingredients to the fact that Bennie Wheels is a natural-born entertainer, with his ability to capture his audiences with his charisma and charming, down-to-earth and comical personality.
Walkin' The Line's audiences can expect to see the best representation of Johnny Cash, June Carter and The Tennessee Three there is!
