From Dizzy to Desmond to Duke, Hancock to Harris to Hubbard, Trane to Turrentine, Miles to Monk, Bird to Benson, Grover to Getz, Sinatra to Shorter, the Jim Ferris Trio performs a wide selection of standard & contemporary jazz featuring Jim Ferris on Sax/Flute, Grant Osborne on keyboards/vocals and Mike McPherson on Drums.

Jim Ferris (sax/flute) moved to Raleigh from Rochester, NY. Jim has been leading his own jazz group since the late '80's in New York and North Carolina. In Rochester, he fronted the Jim Ferris Quartet for about a decade and has been performing for more than 35 years, playing Jazz, R&B, Top40, Rock and more.

Grant Osborne (piano/vocals) is a native of Raleigh, NC. At age 14 he began playing professionally for churches and theatre groups. Grant became a serious student of jazz at East Carolina University, where he began his professional career. He later spent several years playing for major cruise lines and performing at exclusive Miami resort hotels. He has performed with Vince Gill and Amy Grant, and opened for contemporary jazz greats David Sanborn and Joe Sample.

Mike McPherson (drums) is a native of NC. Mike is an exceptional musician who played with the US Army band and also with Leon Jordan's Continentals (Big Band) for many years. Mike’s rock solid ability to play styles from straight ahead jazz, to funk, to ballroom dance makes him one of the most versatile drummers on the scene today.
