Why hire Reflections Dance Band?
The Jazz Educators Big Band (JEBB) is a nineteen member big band to promote big band, jazz and dance music. The Reflections Dance Band is an eleven member band performing dance music of various styles including swing, Latin, waltz and rock and roll. The Reflections Combo is a five piece group comprised of members of the Reflections Dance Band.
About
The Jazz Educators Big Band (JEBB) was organized by Bob Holden in the Fall of 2002. The purpose of this nineteen member band has been to promote big band jazz and dance music to the Springfield area and to help educate young musicians about the art of jazz music. Although each person in the group plays music professionally, fifteen current members of the band are presently either teaching music in public or private schools, are retired from teaching high school band or teach band students privately.
The organization has been performing five or six times a year to further jazz education. They have done this through concerts at area high school jazz festivals, by sharing jazz concerts with local high school and college bands and by performing special “free-to-the-public” concerts at Drury University - celebrating various styles of the great jazz big bands. They also perform for charity events and wedding receptions.

The Reflections Dance Band was organized in the Fall of 2005. The eleven member band performs dance music of various styles including swing, Latin, waltz and rock and roll. They can do this either in a dance situation or in concert with a wide variety of selections from six decades of music. (the 1930s thru the 1980s)
The instrumentation for the band includes: three saxophones, two trombones, two trumpets, piano, guitar, bass and drums. The group also includes three vocalists from within the band and has provided exciting performances at weddings, dances and concerts since the band’s inception.

The Reflections Combo is a five piece group comprised of members of the Reflections Dance Band. It was also organized in 2005 with the same flexibility of styles as the larger band - but with the option for a smaller - more intimate sound. This group has performed numerous wedding receptions, dances and dinner music settings since being organized.
The instrumentation of the combo is trombone, saxophone, piano, bass and drums. It also provides two vocalists from within the band.
