Janaron is an experienced Nouveau Flamenco, Worldbeat, Light Classical and Latin Jazz Guitarist entertainer. He performs Receptions, Dinner Parties, Wine Parties, Significant Events, Luncheons and occasional restaurant engagements. His music is exceptional, outstanding and discriminating. His style is romantic and uplifting. He plays the guitar along with special background music that he has performed. As a solo performer he is able to provide entertainment with a full sound and an engaging sound. Janaron's music is performed as background or as the focus of the main event. He has many years of performance experience. He is dependable and has a professional presentation. His music styles are mainly Nouveau Flamenco, World Beat Music, Smooth Jazz and Light Classical music.
His decades of training, performing and teaching experiences are vast. Janaron’s 9 years of music studies included time studying under country, bluegrass and r&b sessions musicians, New York Jazz artist Leo Flores (music theory, composition and arranging) and 3 years at the Casa De La Guitarra under Roberto Torres (student of the F. Tarrega classical guitar method).
His performing experience began at the age of 12 performing bluegrass music at Kentucky’s equivalent of the Grand Ole Opry, the Saturday Night Renfro Valley Stage and Radio Show. Since then he performed on numerous radio and T.V. shows from Kentucky to California. He and his brother were First Place Winners of the California Search for Talent at California Disneyland for classical guitar duets. He was a member of the San Diego Chargers Jazz/Rock band for 3 years. He was on contract for several hotel and restaurant chains as an entertainer for 6 years. He has done recording sessions work, country guitar, rock guitar and banjo. Janaron has also been the music director of several churches in the San Diego area and Idyllwild California.
Janaron’s teaching experience began as a guitar instructor for the Gifted Children’s program in the Chula Vista Elementary School District. A short time later he was hired as the classical guitar instructor for LuAnne’s Conservatory of Music. Four years later he became an owner and manager of Harpers Music Studio. In addition to currently teaching at Mark’s Guitar he has taught guitar for a mentor program for San Diego County Foster Children. Janaron loves teaching and working with others to help them achieve their artisan goals in the performing arts. His education and experience enable him to promote goal-setting and self-discipline to develop skills for performing with others and having fun. He currently teaches Guitar for classical, latin jazz, new world beat, country, bluegrass and rock. He also teaches bass guitar and 5 string banjo. Occasionally he enjoys playing his mandolin and has taught lessons for that in the past.
In addition to Janaron's extensive training, education and performing experience in music, he has earned his BBA and MBA. He has had a successful career with the Universtity of California, is a retired Management Service Officer from UCSD, where he managed millions of dollars of resources and personnel, created information systems documentation and trained medical center personnel on application software use and has served as a Mentor for the UCSD Healthcare Preuss School HIP program for eight years.
