We play Classic and Old School R&B, Classic Rock, Blues Rock, Pop, Blues and Standards. There are 3-4 sets of danceable and nostalgic music with a few originals included.
J. T. Butler is a singer/songwriter, and guitarist who also plays piano and bass. He has been in vocal groups (R&B cover groups, glee, gospel choirs), sung solos at church, in one theater production, and been a guitarist and singer for cover bands, and Blues/Blues-Rock Bands. He can play solo events, duo, and also as a member of a band. He can sing and play Jazz, Soul, Blues, Pop, Rock, Folk and some Country. J. T. Is available for Virtual Events as a Solo performer.
The J. T. Butler Group specializes in Blues, Rhythm & Blues/Soul, Blues/Rock and some Jazz Standards. The band plays both covers and originals. The Group can sound like a 1960s Chicago Blues Band (Junior Wells & Buddy Guy or The Paul Butterfield Blues Band) or do Motown/Stax Volt covers, Jazz Standards and Ballads, Blues/Rock and 70s R&B. The members of the band are Sam Sands (Drums), Gary Wood on Bass, and Richard Gonzalez on Sax. Everyone of us has a lot of experience playing,. We have been together for years and are constantly expanding our range of songs and styles. The mood can go from sultry and romantic to party central/dance heaven at the drop of a hat. We require enough space to allow four musicians with their instruments to perform; electrical plugs for our amplification and equipment; an indoor area to perform or a cover if the the performance area is outside. We will provide all sound equipment, amplification and instruments. We perform two 45 minute sets with a break for personal care and the last set is a full hour of music.
