Whether it's a wedding, funeral, memorial, or even a baby shower the Irish bagpipes will add unique for a unique touch to your event. Quieter than the Scottish bagpipes, the irish pipes are well suited for playing indoors and with other instruments. The sound is beyond compare, able to create a jovial ambience that inspires dance, or a haunting and beautiful tribute to your loved ones. The Irish pipes are the iconic bagpipe sound you've heard in movies ranging from Titanic to, yes... even Braveheart.
We reached out to David to play for my father-in-law’s retirement party. He was quick to respond and was very communicative throughout the process. He played beautifully during the tribute presentation, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house! My father-in-law loved how he played the pipes so much that he still talks about it to this day. Highly recommend David to make your event extra special!
David was recommend to me by a friend for our baby shower. Wanted to make the event memorable so we had him playing at the door to great people as they arrived. He was the talk of the event. His music created an awesome and unique vibe that everyone still remembers and talks about. 10/10!

David Perkins (aka Piper Dave) is an Irish bagpiper in Seattle. He began playing Scottish bagpipes in 2008 while in college. He spent several years in both band and solo competitions on the east coast before settling in Seattle. It was there, in 2018, where he began playing uilleann (Irish) pipes. Since then David has established himself as one of the premiere pipers in the Irish music scene. In 2024 he became the Chairman of the Irish Pipers Club, a revered cultural establishment promoting the education and culture of uilleann bagpipes. With more than fifteen years of experience in piping, David will bring a professional, empathetic, and unique flare to your occasion.
Depending on the request, this can be discussed.
I have a wide range of musical influences, but chief among them are bands like Planxty, Bothy Band, and the Chieftains. Pipers like Leo Rowesome, Liam O'Flynn, Finbar Furey, and Joey Abarta have made a huge impact on my personal style.
