Illianna is a Central MA based bellydancer who has taught, studied and performed all around New England for the past several years. She has studied American Cabaret, Egyptian and tribal styles of bellydance. She has studied with some wonderful instructors, such as Shadia, Katia and Shazar.
About
I've always enjoyed dance, but belly dance really spoke to me. I took my first lesson about 10 years ago and just fell in love with the art. I love Egyptian style, but will also perform Arabic, Improvisational Tribal Style (ITS) and some Greek and Turkish. I can be found dancing at the Athenian Corner in Lowell, The Clarion in Northhampton and at haflas all around New England. I love dancing to live music and have danced with the Ed Melikian Ensemble and the Fred Elias Ensemble. I truly love the energy that goes back and forth between a dancer and the band, which then draws in the audience and gives them a wonderful experience.. When I'm not dancing I also assist my photographer husband Paul as a model for RT2 Photo.
