There is a rare breed of party band that is so perfect, so pure, that when they step onstage and kick off a funky beat, an unseen force pumps through the crowd. The dancing gets hot and the stories of those nights are passed on from generation to generation and are never forgotten.

Identity Theft has heard of all of those bands.

Drawing upon decades of other people’s experience, Identity Theft has studied the ancient secrets of partying and created a show that will re-invent “cover bands”. Comprised of five professional musicians who only take themselves as serious as absolutely necessary, Identity Theft skillfully recreates the music that keeps the party going and engages the crowd like old friends gathered for a night to remember.

Identity Theft is the only band in Dallas that functions like a DJ. That means you will hear the newest, most popular songs on today’s charts. We monitor real-time DJ polls monthly to make sure we are playing the most requested songs. This means that you’ll probably always hear Brick House and Journey, but you will also hear the new Usher song that came out last week, you’ll hear live mash-ups, you’ll hear inhuman voice effects, you’ll bounce to 808 kick drums and walls of synthesizers. Every member of Identity Theft is a knowledgeable programmer or producer, which means you get live looping, choreographed lighting, and a band that can literally reproduce any song.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 120 - 300 minutes

A wedding reception is the party that you’ll remember for the rest of your life, and nothing compares to the excitement and energy of a live band. A band offers visual appeal, crowd interaction, and flexibility to read the crowd to keep the party going. Identity Theft is designed to make these parties a success, and we go to work well before your wedding date and assist with full reception planning!

This includes:

Face-to-Face Consultation – with the bride and groom (and sometimes the whole band!) so that we can get to know you and determine exactly how you’d like your reception to flow. This meeting includes choosing special music for event dances, mapping out an itinerary, and coordinating announcements.

Announcements and Emceeing – Wedding receptions need to flow, and it doesn’t need to fall on the bride’s shoulders to make sure that happens! We will announce the bride and groom during their grand entrance, as well as event dances, dinner, cake cutting, toasts, and other events during the reception.

DJing and Break Music – Identity Theft comes with complimentary DJ services. That means there will always be appropriate music playing, whether it be softer music during dinner or dance music while the band is on break. There is no charge for this service.

Identity Theft DOES have a softer side! We realize that weddings will have multiple generations gathered in one room, and we are committed to making sure EVERYONE has a good time.
