About

Hunt Mysteries offically started doing performances in April of 1991, first at Snowbird Ski Resort in Little Cottonwood Canyon and later at The Camelot Restaurant in Layton and The Riverboat in Salt Lake. Other venues have included Embassy Suites, Salt Lake; Inn on the Creek, Midway; Homestead, Midway; The Castle, Layton; The Shalamar, Holladay; and Thanksgiving Point, Lehi.
Gigs have taken Hunt Mysteries' casts to Las Vegas, Mesquite and Wendover, Nevada; Denver, Glenwood Springs and Steamboat Springs, Colorado; Bismarck and Dickinson, North Dakota; Rock Springs, Evanston, Green River and Pindale, Wyoming; California and Mexico as part of Carnival cruise; McCook, Nebraska; Pocatello, Idaho; and Spokane, Washington.
But the majority of shows have been along the Wasatch Front and throughout Utah, including Logan in the north, St. George in the south, Vernal in the east and Tooele in the west.
We have traveled and performed our comedy murder mystery dinner theatre entertainment wherever the client has asked for a professional troupe with professional sound/lighting equipment.
Our performances have evolved over the years into true musical dinner theater, including singing, dancing and tons of comedy. In additon, our shows emphasize audience participation.
Hunt Mysteries is currently doing shows open to the public at Boccias D'Italia in Ogden, and at Spaghetti Mama's, Jordan Commons, in Sandy, Utah.

Influences

Hunt Mysteries has more than 35 comedy murder mystery scripts after 19 years of doing dinner shows. All the scripts are original.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 120 - 150 minutes

Hunt Mysteries actors mingle with guests for about 20 minutes, setting up the comedy mystery and introducing all the characters to the guests.
Actors then do a 15 to 20-minute opening scene. All the actors are on professional body mics to enhance the enjoyment of the performance.
After the opening scene, the guests finish up their dinners while the actors mingle more with guests. Then the actors go back on mics and do the main part of the show, which includes song and dance numbers and tons of comedy. The comedy murder happens and then the guests are asked to help solve the mystery. They are invited to question individually all the suspects (the actors). After about 15 minutes, the guests turn in their answers. The actors then do the comedy finale to show who did it, how and what was the motive. Then a few prizes are awarded to top sleuths.

Step-up riser 12' x 12' for groups larger than about 100

Additional Notes:
Hunt Mysteries provides its own professional sound system as part of the show package. It can be upgraded for larger audiences -- even up to 500 guests.
Hunt Mysteries provides a minimul of lighting, including spotlight. And the lighting can be upgraded for larger groups.
All performances require access to power source.

Set/Song/Sequence List:
Stage requirements are minimul since we provide our own sound and lighting.
We travel wherever the client arranges a venue -- or we do the performances at our locations in Ogden, Salt Lake and Sandy.
