Gregg Gelb is a band leader, saxophonist, clarinetist, arranger, composer, and educator. In addition to leading his eight-piece Swing Band, Fiesta Latin/Jazz Orchestra, and jazz combos, he is founder and director of the Heart of Carolina Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Society, and co-founder and player with the North Carolina Jazz Repertory Orchestra. He also directs the Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble. He is recipient of a Jazz Composers Award from the North Carolina Arts Council. His bands have played for all types of events throughout North Carolina and beyond for over 20 years.
