I am a classically trained singer providing classical music performances for weddings, special events, private parties, funerals, and sporting events. As a classical performer for over five years I have performed Operatic and Musical Theatre style shows for hundreds of people. Grace Mallis Montgomery holds a Master of Arts Degree in Vocal Performance from UCF and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from UCF. She has performed with the University of Central Florida Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, University Chorus, and the UCF Opera Workshop as well as the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. She is also active in promoting the work of new student composers at UCF and has premiered new compositions by university students and faculty.
Ms. Montgomery is an active performer and is currently a Resident Artist with Central Florida Lyric Opera Company, where she performs as a both a principal performer and chorus member. She is also a featured singer at CFLO’s frequent “Dinner and a Show” performances, where she performs a variety of music from classical, musical theatre, jazz, and popular tunes. Grace is also a cantor and section leader at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Orlando.
Ms. Montgomery has had the privilege of studying with influential American singers and has participated in master classes with such opera stars as Sherrill Milnes, Dolora Zajick, Keith Miller, and Stella Zamballis. In 2010 she was awarded a vocal scholarship to participate in the V.O.I.C.E.xperience with Sherrill Milnes summer program.
Ms. Montgomery has performed throughout the world as a choral singer and has had the privilege of performing in such notable places as Carnegie Hall in New York City, Riverside Church in New York City, Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco, CA, Prague National Cathedral in Prague, Munich, Germany, The Czech Republic, and both the summer and winter palaces of the Austrian Royal Family in Vienna, Austria.
In addition to performing, Ms. Mallis is passionate about passing on the joys and benefits of musical education. She has maintained a home studio for the past three years and has experience teaching students from the ages of 8 to 63. She enjoys passing on her musical knowledge to others and enjoys the creativity that musical lessons often inspire in the lives of her students.
