Cellist Gabrielle Athayde, having begun her cello studies at the age of four, performed at Carnegie Hall, was awarded a full scholarship to the Julliard School, and toured Europe's major cities all before graduating high school. She has been a fellow at the Aspen and Lucerne music festivals, and holds a degree in music from the Oberlin Conservatory. Gabri is currently a private instructor of harmony and cello-playing, and is the resident musician at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in South Glastonbury, CT. She is a hobbyist farmer and she specializes in the music of J.S. Bach.
