Birthday Partyexciting show-everyone at the party was so into it-all ages from tots, big kids to the grandparents. 2 performers with fire, dance, flaming fans, glowing hoops, tricks like fire eating. they made for the best party ever! they were very personable with the crowd, showed on time despite a long drive, open to any music, in my case i had them bring their own- which was a great selection of instrumentals. in the end everyone was raving about how cool and unique to have fire dancers- no boring moonbounce for us!

Overview

About

Flow Wellness instructor, Morgan, has been a fitness enthusiast for years. She began with a ZUMBA (Latin-inspired dance fitness) certification, which was quickly followed by ZUMBA Toning (includes light weights). After realizing her passion for instructing, she pursued a certification in Hoopnotica (hoop dance fitness) since she had already been hooping for years. Next came Piloxing, a Pilates and boxing fusion class. Most recently, Morgan completed a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher Training where she was trained to instruct Hot Power Vinyasa Yoga.

Morgan's teaching style is light and playful, while also challenging enough to bring the best out of her students. She has taught regular classes in venues such as LA Fitness, Widener University's Wellness Center, and the Media Community Center. She has alto taught classes at numerous corporate facilities, as well as in-home for individuals and small groups. She was even awarded "Most Cutting Edge Workout" for her class at Philly FIT Magazine's 5th Annual Workout-A-Thon (2011).

Morgan, who goes by "moflow" when performing, has been hooping for five years and has picked up other flow arts along the way. Today, she performs with single hoop (LED & fire), double hoops (LED), fire fans, LED flow wand, ribbon, and the contact juggling ball. She has performed in venues such as The Note, Vango Lounge & Skybar, Xfinity Live, and The Trocadero. Morgan is dedicated to her art and is excited to see what her future as a performer holds.

The newest member of the "fire & flow" team is Hunt, the resident fire eater. Hunt met Morgan in 2011 and was inspired by her love of the flame. He picked up torches and caught the burn bug himself. Hunt currently performs fire eating and serves as the "hype man" of the group. He is also polishing his poi and contact staff skills for future performances.

When they aren't performing or practicing with their props, the members of "fire & flow" enjoy seeing live music, traveling, and spending time with their pets. Hunt particularly enjoys reading and cooking, while Morgan spends much of her time on educational pursuits, as she is currently working towards her doctorate in clinical psychology as well as her masters in business administration.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 5 - 1000 minutes

fire & flow performances will be exciting and engaging for audiences. People of all ages will be amazed as our performers demonstrate silly, exciting, and even dangerous feats!

Performers can either interact with the audience members, playing off of their reactions, or perform in isolation on a stage or podium.

fire & flow performers can put on a show for everyone to watch OR can do a more "roving" style performance where they mix and mingle with the crowd.

Performances can be choreographed or improvised to live music or a DJ.

Stage/Setup Requirements:
Barrier/other designated safety space (fire)
iPod hookup OR other music
Speaker setup

Additional Notes:
Hoop performances require adequate space for spinning with both arms extended, plus a 35" hoop in each hand. Flow wand also requires a good deal of space, as performers often use a long string to achieve a different effect.

FIre performances will require a setup that will allow for crowds to remain at a safe distance. There should be no brush or overhanging branches that might be a fire hazard. Pavement is preferred, but grass is satisfactory as well.

All performances without a band/DJ will require speakers and an iPod hookup. Most performances are improvisational and require some type of music to work with. Performers are open to any type of music, but are partial to electronic (most varieties), folk, rock (classic & alternative), and world (reggae, Latin, etc).

Flow Wellness instructors and performers are willing to travel any distance, but a travel fee will apply after the first 30 minutes. Travel longer than 3 hours will require the option of accommodation.
