Elegance Music can set the mood for your event by providing tasteful traditional Jazz and Latin music with an elegant touch. Never obtrusive, never too loud or harsh, I specialize in bringing to your event the chic and luxurious sounds of the Standards- those songs of the 20th century which have become classics. Whether styled in the manner of classic swing, or with the sultry tropical sounds of Bossa Nova or Samba, my performances evoke an atmosphere of refinement and sophistication.
If music with live vocals is preferred, Elegance Music can add a superb female vocalist for your event. As a duo, we can provide more of an entertainment experience than strictly background music.
Doug Brunelle with Elegance Music was the perfect addition to our Farewell Reception held at the Hilton Torrey Pines. Doug’s music was perfect for the occasion and the variety of songs was outstanding. Not only was he very professional but very accommodating when we had to move our event at the last minute and also when a few folks wanted to come up to make a few comments. Elegance Music was very easy to work; they contacted the hotel ahead of time to check out the location of our event and to discuss any specifics that they needed. If and when we are ever in the San Diego area in the future, I am defiantly going to book Doug again and highly recommend him to anyone who wants the elegance of his talent.

About
DOUG BRUNELLE is a classically-trained professional musician with more than 35 years as a multi-instrumentalist performer, playing clarinet, flute, and bass guitar in a various musical genres. He has played in a wide variety of musical groups, from school orchestras to professional bands, to small jazz and rock combos, big bands, and wind ensembles.
He is conversant with a large variety of classical repertoire, as well as country, bluegrass, jazz and various jazz fusion styles; his 22-year career in the Army Bands included performances in all these styles of music.
CARLA VAN BLAKE - BIZZETT is a Singer, Songwriter, Graphic Artist and Designer who has been singing professionally since 1993. In 1994 her first original single, "Skinny Women Can't Sing The Blues", aired on local radio in Sacramento, CA. In June of that same year Carla was the featured artist in "Jazz Now" Magazine.
A flexible singer, she can render a smooth jazz ballad as easily as a funky dance tune or a heart felt gospel song. Carla has produced three collections of original music and is currently working on her new CD release for 2012.

ELEGANCE MUSIC is a One Man Band musical act that performs a genre much needed in Southern California, but seldom heard- soft, elegant, tasteful music, sometimes jazzy, sometimes swaying with the tropical sounds of Samba or Bossa Nova.
This is perfect music for intimate settings such as private parties, dinners, and other venues requiring soft background music that is always tasteful and never harsh. Elegance Music provides the sound of a full band, even though I perform as a solo instrumentalist playing flute and clarinet.
