About

Eden is a professional Middle Eastern dance artist and choreographer and has been performing for over ten years. She is a staple in many night clubs and restaurants in and around Toronto. Eden also performs at weddings, baby showers, corporate events, parties, stage perfomances, etc…and has danced for such noted people as Kirstie Alley.

Eden was born to be a dancer. Since childhood, whenever she heard music, she saw choreography in her mind’s eye. Over the years, Eden has trained with several established teachers and dancers such as, Roula Said, Yasmina Ramzy, Tahia Sassaine, Mayada, Hadia, Hannan Sultan, and Nada. She is also a former member of Arabesque Dance Company.

In order to enrich her dance vocabulary, Eden regularly trains in Pilates. Moreover, she has studied various other dance forms such as, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Salsa, West African, and Tap.

She is a member of CADA Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists and DTRC Dancers in Transition Resource Centre.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 5 - 25 minutes

With class and professionalism, when Eden performs, she enhances the celebration and livens up the party. And most importantly, Eden makes people have FUN!

Dancing is an opportunity for Eden to connect and share with her audience. She takes her audience on an emotional journey – a grand opening, a sentimental taxim, and upbeat pop songs. The show culminates in a passionate drum solo. The music literally moves her. For Eden, performing dance is a spiritual experience and belly dancing brings her into an instantaneous state of joy.

Eden performs regularly in all the top Arabic, Persian, Israeli and Greek nightclubs and restaurants in Toronto. She also performs for parties (excluding stags), weddings, engagement parties, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, corporate events, theater, film, concerts, festivals, baby showers, etc…

Additional Notes:
Clients must provide a sound system that plays either CDs or Ipods.

Eden is the only belly dancer in Toronto that is both a professional belly dancer and singer! When you hire Eden, you have a choice of Eden performing a Standard Belly Dance Show or a Belly Dance Show and Singing Combo. To keep the show in a belly dance theme, Eden can sing one or two of her own Pop songs that have a Middle Eastern flavour – Belly and/or All Together Woman Mid East Infusion. Some clients prefer Eden to sing a pop song from a similar artist, such as Shakira.

The standard show is 20 minutes. Audiences generally find that if the show is longer, it is too much of a good thing. Upon client request, Eden can co-ordinate either an Arabic band, Greek band, or a funk/pop band to accompany her show. Eden has much experience performing with all kinds of bands live. The additional fee to hire the band would be determined by the band’s rates.
