Dr. Salaam Love is one the industries best kept secrets. With over thirty years of experience he has mastered his craft in the business of entertainment performing with 2 Grammy Award winning groups. He has over 26 years to his credit of performing with The Delfonics, “La, La Means I Love You”, “and Didn’t I Blow Your Mind.” And at least 16 years with Harold Melvin’s original Blue Notes he has definitely earned his spot without a doubt in the entertainment business.
While he may be seen standing in the background performing it is not unusual for Dr. Salaam to take center stage with the Grammy Award winning groups. He can be found on the 70s Soul Jam Tour showcasing the vertititly of his voice and the smoothness of his style. His voice has a wide range between a first tenor and bass baritone that captures your attention when he performs his musical renditions’ of artists like Phillip Bailey, Al Green, Teddy Pendergrass, the late Barry White and Luther Vandross amongst others.
On occasion Dr. Salaam has also taken the lead for William Hart, original founder and member of The Delfonics, who produced hits like LaLa Means I Love You and Didn’t I Blow Your Mind just to name a few. His voice range is perfect for the part and, The Dr. is noticed immediately by the ladies. He’s the tall good looking one with the smooth sexy moves that is sure to get attention of all the ladies within his sight.
When the Dr. is out in front the audience is hypnotized by the angelic sweetness of his voice, often compared to Smokey Robinson.
