It is a Real Life Humor approach to comedy that is both thought provoking and compelling, merging ideas and experiences with the realisms of daily life. Dave Celestian’s professional comedy career experience continues to expand as he performs for more and more corporate parties and events around the US.
A former engineer and business owner, Dave began his comedy career journey in the fall of 2005 when he took a stand up comedy class at the Tampa Improv in Florida after much persuasion from several friends over many years. Dave then set up his own comedy stage and theater in his garage for a place to practice his bits and find his comedic voice. He also hit the open mic circuit around his hometown of St Petersburg while maintaining his full time job as a painting contractor. Not happy with the politics of the comedy clubs, Dave set up his own shows at various venues around the area performing with other comedians in what was known as The War On Comedy Tour. After 3 years of performing part time Dave decided that more focus and energy were necessary to really excel in this field so in the summer of 2008 he shut down his painting company, packed up his car, and moved to NYC to perform fulltime.
Dave practiced in the city for a couple years performing up to 60 times per month at various open mics and shows. He then began performing at corporate and private events in December of 2009 and has since taken his act to the states all across the US. He enjoys connecting with people through humor and using his talent to bring laughter and fond memories to those in his life and at his performances.
