About

Known to the public as "The People's Choice," KAZ is a talent the entertainment industry has long awaited to bring back the elemental styles of dj-ing long forgotten. Following the footsteps of dj legends such as Kool Herc, Grand Master Flash, and Jam Master Jay, KAZ aims to incorporate sounds from the past as well as the present to reach the same platform as these legendary and musically innovative djs.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, KAZ' musical talents were recognized at a very young age. Teaching himself to write and produce music, he then went on to experience different ventures in the industry. Participating in HIP HOP groups, teaching himself to dj, and becoming a professional in the radio industry. Fascinated by this musical art, and working hard to perfect his craft, he came to realize that it not only takes dedication but devotion to be successful in the industry; recognizing that there was a long road ahead that would require a lifetime of commitment.

After acquiring a degree in radio broadcasting, KAZ launched his career immediately as a show producer for several stations in Seattle WA, a programming assistant for talk radio in San Francisco, creating daily mix shows in Portland OR, holding down a weekly night show back in Seattle WA on MOViN92.5FM now currently the morning host at 107.3 KFFM in Yakima, WA.

Since working in the industry KAZ has had the opportunity to host and share the stage with acts such as Boys II Men, Kardinal Official, Sir-Mix-A-Lot, Nelly, Jesse Powell, Tony Toni Tone, Brian McKnight, The Sugar Hill Gang, P.M. Dawn, Naughty By Nature, Rob Base, Musiq Soul Child, Digital Underground and Vanilla Ice and much more.

Community events have been very important for KAZ because without there support he believes he would not be were he is today. He has participated and hosted events involving The Boys and Girls Club, The Seattle Aids Walk, The Brave New World Black History Project and The Diabetes Research Foundation to name a few.

KAZ has not only created a sound and style of his own with musical inspirations from the past and the present, but he has also participated in many community events that have proven to the public he is versatile in his talent but also in his heart. With goals of being known for his unique palette in musical selections, DJ, producer, MC, and as a devoted member of our society, KAZ will continue to show and prove that he is the "People's Choice."
