Holly is a wonderful person and a spectacular performer. I have seen Joan Rivers twice perform in Atlantic City. Holly did an amazing impersonation of Joan Rivers--and was able to craft the funniest jokes as the night went on during our employee holiday party. About
Holly Faris is a multilevel performer whose TV appearances have included the recent 2013 season of Celebrity Apprentice, Celebrity Ghost Stories and the Joan Rivers Show as Joan Rivers, Flight of The Conchords, The Morey Povitch Show and The Gordon Elliot Show as Tina Turner and Celebrity Apprentice 2008 and One Life To Live as Cher. Her memorable stage appearances include a portrayal as Mae West in the off Broadway production of Queen of The Silver Screen and the original voice of Gracie in the Tony nominated “Say Goodnight Gracie”, starring Frank Gorshin. Her feature films include Road To Graceland starring Bridget Fonda and Harvey Keitel and Angels with Angles starring Rodney Dangerfield. Johnson and Johnson, Astro-Zeneca and Pepsi are among some of Holly’s numerous corporate clients. Some of her favorite personal appearances include opening in Las Vegas for Frank Gorshin, starring in her own production of Unforgettables and Donald Trump’s birthday bash both at Trump Marina in Atlantic City. In 2010 Holly opened for Tommy James and The Shondells at the
Mayo Performing Arts Theatre in Morristown, NJ. Holly stars regularly in original productions which she writes and produces for Starr Tours at the Tropicana Resort and Casino in Atlantic City.
Influences
Holly has imitated Joan Rivers since she was five years old. She remembers how happy she was being allowed to stay up and watch Joan on the Ed Sullivan show. How amazing that almost 20 years later she'd appear in NY on Joan's tv talk show dressed as Joan Rivers. Joan was so much fun, even asking her if she remembered any of the jokes from Ed Sullivan, which Holly provided to a laughing Joan Rivers. Holly loves to perform as her hero, Joan Rivers, because “it allows me to make people laugh and it always challenges my comic improvisation.” People are always good natured and know it's all in good fun, even when Holly as Joan, like the real Joan Rivers, turns most of the jokes on herself.
