We strive to produce top-quality results whether playing live, teaching in the studio classrooms, recording/editing a project, or offering evaluation & direction to established artists. To us, honesty and integrity is #1 (and we never use this as a marketing "slogan" - we give our all to whatever we undertake. We LOVE what we do and never stop until the goals are achieved)
Thanks for stopping by and checking us out! Cornerstone Music exists to help you move forward and reach your musical goals. We're dedicated to our Mission Statement - "Preparing you for the Stage, Studio, or Just for Fun!"
Our family-owned business focuses on you as a person, not as a client. We're not pressured by a national corporation as some music services are, so we can offer you a relaxed and yet completely professional creative environment.
Jeff Marzolla is the owner/operator as well as the main instructor. He has worked privately as an instructor for over 25 years and has also been employed by several national instruction schools. He is certified and has successfully completed his annual background checks.
Jeff also handles the role of engineer during recording sessions. If needed, he's also available to serve as Producer, Collaborator, or Instrumentalist. Editing, Mixing, and Mastering are done to whatever level and budget the artist requires. If you need help with Graphic Designs, we'll assist in completing the package.
Notable Quotable:
"I've been involved in music literally all of my life - there was never a time when I didn't have an instrument in my hand (even in my crib!). I have been playing professionally for over 25 years and have been teaching for almost all of those.
I have also been involved in many bands and have had the privilege of touring and playing in many of our country's states. Some recent bands have included Alien Highrise, Raise the Dead, Still Small Voice, & Modern Day John. I have played with many National Artists while on tour, and also helped up-and-coming artists gain a greater exposure.
I’ve had a great deal of recording experience – both as a musician and as a Producer of other bands. I am currently writing commercial jingles & background music for Film and TV and have been working as a songwriter for a new TV series that is due to hit the air soon. I also write music beds (music that is played while someone does announcements or advertisements) and voice-overs for the #1 internet radio station of its kind – (link hidden) (be sure to check them out!)”
SERVICES OFFERED
**Instrument Instruction**
After 25 years of teaching, we have developed a system that takes students of all ages through a series of well-planned and deliberate activities that are designed to make them well-rounded, versatile, and equipped. Every student learns the basic mechanics as it relates to their instrument, while at the same time learning the basics of music theory (that is, why music sounds the way it does, how it all fits together, etc). The end result is a student who is more than a mere imitator of an exercise – he or she is a genuine musician. We’re convinced that a well-rounded student will have a greater value if they ever decide to take their playing to another level.
Students move at their own pace and are never pressured. If you want to be pushed and challenged, we can do that too (!)
Comprehensive lessons are offered for Drums, Guitar (acoustic & electric), Bass (4, 5, and 6 string), School Percussion, Vocals, Piano/Keyboards, Songwriting, and Music Theory. Assistance is available in the areas of equipment selection and maintenance, as well.
**Recording**
Cornerstone Music is now accepting additional clients for recording projects. These can be as simple as singing to a CD or as complex as a full band. Assistance is also available for songwriting and producing.
If Karaoke is your thing, we can remove the vocals from your favorite tunes and transform them into instant performance tracks.
**Artist Development**
If you are a band or solo artist, our staff is ready to assist you in getting to the next level. We partner with you as we offer honest evaluations in such areas as:
√ Songwriting
√ Vocal coaching / harmony layering
√ Drum/Bass interaction
√ Stage Presence
√ Preparation for studio recording
√ Live show critiques
√ Equipment selection
√ Handling the music “business”
√ etc!
**General Maintenance**
If you’re in the area, swing by and we’ll tune your guitar or drum for free! If you need your whole drum set tuned, we can arrange to do that, too. We’re here to help with string changes, drum head changes, or just advice on what to buy. We can fix common guitar problems such as strings that buzz or feel too hard to press down. Plus, if you have an amp or effect and you’re not sure how to get the sound you’re looking for, we’d be glad to offer some suggestions.
This is just a brief summary. Full details are available upon request.

We've been influenced by the cutting-edge mentality of the Beatles (their attitudes and methods live and especially in their approach to recording). Well-written songs of any genre catch our attention and motivate us to produce high quality creations ourselves (and yes, we also learn from poorly-written songs, too!)
We observe all the elements of arts and entertainment and appreciate lyrics (message, style, etc) as well as song structures. Live performance, graphic designs, video/web design, sounds and instrument tones - this is all we think about!
