Christopher Ryan Mc Allister is a native of Whitney Point, New York. He was awarded a bachelor of music in music education from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Fredonia in May 2010 and has studied traditional West African music and culture at the Dagara Music Center (DMC) in Medie, Ghana. His percussion teachers have included Dr. Karolyn Stonefelt, Tiffany Nicely, Bernard Woma, John Bacon, David Kayne, and Joel Smales.

Since 2004, Chris has performed with the Orchard Park Symphony Orchestra, Stringendo 'Vivace' Orchestra, Binghamton Philharmonic, and the Endicott Performing Arts Center (EPAC).
