I am a freelance lead/solo trumpet player available for solo performances as well as sitting in with a group. I am available for weddings, corporate functions, musicals, jazz groups, funk bands, swing groups, and motown groups. Also with the resources available to me, I am able to put together a particular group that will fit your needs. I am also very affordable and can work with just about any budget.
About
Chris attended the University of Indianapolis and studied trumpet under Allen Miller and jazz improvisation with Harry Miedema. After school he had focused his time primarily on teaching and playing in the drum corps activity with such groups as the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corp, Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, and Magic of Orlando Drum and Bugle Corps. Christopher is currently performing in many groups throughout the city and is also a member of the Indiana Wind Symphony, Indianapolis Brass, and Naptown Boogie.
Influences
As the versatile trumpeter I strive to be, I have many different influences that have developed my sound and musicianship. A few of my influences are: Wynton Marsalis, Wayne Bergeron, Chris Botti, Miles Davis, Clifford Brown, Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band, Dave Matthews, Blood Sweat and Tears, Tower of Power, Doc Severinson, etc...
