Chris Spohn and Chris Phillips have been playing together since high school. They are the founding members of 90's noise act "Crack Rock Asteriods" credited with bringing the noise scene to Jacksonville. Spohn has graced the stage with such acts as Tropic of Cancer, Acid Majik, Barnyard, Milk of Amnesia, Super Pizza Party and many others. As of late he has been performing his psych/folk sing along songs as a solo performer. Phillips teaches guitar, piano, vocals, mandolin, bass, violin and drums at the North Florida Music Academy. He has performed with Donner Party, Acid Majik, Bad Monkey, Sweet Sweet Tea and others. As of late he has been performing country/swing with Mandy Joy. Both Spohn and Phillips have a deep respect for Bossa Nova music. Spohn's wife and child are both Brazillian. Phillips's grandfather was a DJ at Jones College radio throughout the 70's where he was first exposed to this style. After ten years of intense study, the two finally felt prepared to play the intrucate melodies and syncopated rhythms of Brazil's national music.
