For over twenty years, I have gained experience in how to make an event truly special through music. From sharing the stage with Martha Reeves and the Vandellas to playing events for corporate clients such as Starbucks, FAO Schwarz, and de Grisogono, I have entertained a variety of events ranging from jazz festivals to an intimate room for the Board of a corporation. I am available as a solo guitarist or in a duo, trio, or quartet. I have worked with many event planners and am attentive to punctuality, volume, and dress.

Beautiful music
I was on my way home from work and I heard music as I was coming out of the subway by Dizzy's Diner. It was so great to hear such beautiful jazz after a long day. I sat outside Dizzy's and listened to Chad Coe on the guitar and a saxophone player for a little while. The sign at the restaurant says they're there every week. Now I'll have something to look forward to every Wednesday. I just wish I had an event coming up so that I could hire them.

Chad attained a B.M. from the University of North Florida and a
M.M. from the Manhattan School of Music.
He has been full time faculty at Saint Ann's School since 1999, where he teaches guitar, jazz techniques, jazz theory, and jazz combo.

Influences
Chad has taken the study of solo guitar playing very seriously and has studied with Jack Petersen, Barry Greene, Jack Wilkins, and Peter Leitch. He has been greatly influenced by the solo recordings of Joe Pass.
What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 60 - 240 minutes
Chad's solo guitar performances include a well thought out set list of jazz standards. Improvisation on the themes and forms of the songs is intended to create a connection to the audience and to set the tone for the event. Chad can learn music for any occasion. He welcomes you to come see him play on Wednesday nights at Dizzy's Diner in Brooklyn from 7:30 to 9:30.
Additional Notes:
Chad requires minimal space to perform, and the only necessity is a hopefully grounded outlet. He is able to blend into sophisticated occasions while providing quality music to accompany the situation. Dress can be a tuxedo, suit, or just jeans and a shirt. Chad is an excellent choice when a having a piano is simply inconvenient for the occasion, and he is available for short notice events.
