Brad is one of the better speakers that I have known, I have had him in a meeting grab the reins of an idea and pitch our own idea back to us in an even better form. He has a way of drawing you in to what he is saying and making you see it in front of you. Makes it so much easier to envision your event once he lays out next steps and gets you motivated to do it.
I have seen Brad speaking in a group setting in person. He is nuanced and well-informed about the information he disseminates. He has the rare quality of both active listening and engaging with the audience at their level. As a participant - it is important to me that my questions that arose during his speaking engagement were acknowledged in a serious manner. Brad showcases and breaks down the financial terms to help bring comprehension. He chooses to lead by example and is candid about how anyone can move forward towards their goals.
I have known Brad for years and I can only say great things about him. Not only is he very knowledge in his field, but he's a big philanthropist and an amazing motivator. I have attended several events where he was the main or guest speaker, and he has always been very inspirational and motivational for the audience. Brad cares about getting the message across and about sharing his knowledge and promoting financial literacy - and he does it in a very charismatic way. His energy, humbleness, knowledge and care for others are unparalleled.
I had the fortunate opportunity to attend a financial educational seminar put on at Mesa College. The speaker, Brad Pagano, was exceptional in the ways he presented each topic regarding finances. In fact, one of the most impressive attributes he had, along with his knowledge, was the ability to keep a room full of people engaged and entertained. I can truly say that the information I gathered and came away with was extremely helpful. More importantly, the way in which it was presented was easy to understand and definitely fun to listen to. I look forward to attending more of these in the future!

A highly energetic and enthusiastic speaker. Crafting talks to be customized to audiences; CEO of Self will engage the audience from the first word. Featuring audience participation and a dynamic empowerment method; I will work to ensure that the audience is able to takeaway and use tangible information soon as the talk is over. My goal is to provide a solution to the needs of the audience and help transform their thinking to empower them to become the CEO of Self. I utilize anecdotes, real life examples, personal and professional experiences and bring that altogether to provide real, relevant and topical information in a way that is easy to understand and consume.
I worked in the non profit space for nearly 18 years and then transitioned to the private sector. While in the non profit world my love for speaking and educating became apparent and in 2013 I started the San Diego Financial Literacy Center and for five years helped provide education and empowerment to over 25,000 people annually. We started as a local and regional organization and expanded nationally. I spoke in front of over 100 classes, groups and organizations on myriad topics. I was also a frequent tv and radio guest, podcast guest and panelist. I was featured on ESPN radio, the UT San Diego community spotlight, The Stay Wealthy podcast and several local television stations in both english and Spanish speaking communities. This led to my being named an adjunct professor at Mesa College where I wrote and taught a class: Principles of Money Management. Over time I have spoken to military groups, non profits, corporate entities, business associations, school groups, student athletes and entrepreneurs. I have facilitated board meetings and retreats and acted as event emcee at golf tournaments. In 2018 I went into private wealth management and financial coaching with a goal of empowering as many people as I could with real, relevant and topical information in a timely and culturally competent manner.
I have recently relocated to Texas after 17 years in San Diego. I'm an entrepreneur by heart and an educator by trade. I spent my entire career raising money and helping others.
Born in Wyoming to an Air Force family, I grew up in Delaware. A quick learner and early starter I ended up in high school at 12, achieved a top SAT score at 14 and went to college at 16. I played varsity soccer and was drum major in the high school all star band. In college I was accepted into the Business School but changed majors to Internatonal Relations. Graduating at 20 I entered the workforce and in 2000 found my calling. I drove to San Diego on my 26th birthday and quickly got involved in the community and joined several boards including the San Diego Rookies Baseball Academy, Elderhelp, The San Diego Bowl Game Association, Old Mission Beach Athletic Club, The San Diego Veterans Coalition and the California Jumpstart Association. I am also the Alumni Association President of the NuPu Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon.
I was married in 2007 and welcomed my daughter in 2013. We lost our son in 2018 around the same time I was starting my new work adventure and now I am a #girldad, husband, philanthropist, educator, friend and mentor. I enjoy cooking, traveling, scuba diving, brewing beer, reading history books and playing soccer and golf. I hold a Bachelor's degree, an MBA which I graduated with a 3.976 GPA and was inducted into Delta Mu Delta International Business Society as well as a certificate from the San Diego Leadership Institute. I held a CPFC designation from Fincert and now I am and Series 7 and 66 licensed financial professional. I also have an insurance license and have recently undertaken a series of steps to achieve further designations.
Some quick quirks. I can write upside down, have an almost photographic memory, developed a backwards language with my grandfather, can perform most basic math functions in my head and played the drums and clarinet.
