What should the audience expect?
A time of high energy and encouragement, as Cathy shares humor, wit and wisdom, real life applications and biblical insights. Since her tagline line is "Cheering on the Body of Christ" she has been known to bring pom-poms on occasion!
What should event planners expect?
Cathy is a seasoned speaker who is adaptable, organized and reliable; one who arrives early and is prepared. She is prompt in returning phone calls and emails. She has been in the same position you are in right now; being responsible for a successful event. She understands the entire process and logistics of putting on an event, seminar or weekend retreat. She was also a professional event planner for five years at a graduate school.
Cathy lost her mom to leukemia at the age of six and grew up in an alcoholic home. At the age of 24 she packed up everything she owned and headed to sunny California, leaving behind the cold winters of Minnesota and her family. Within one year of arriving in California the Lord brought believers into her life; they had something she wanted and needed, namely peace, joy and a relationship with Jesus Christ. One decision, one prayer, changed her heart and life forever. As Cathy says, "Anything good you see in my life is because of that one prayer."
With 31 years of walking with the Lord, experiencing life as a single christian woman, then as a wife, a mother, and now an "empty nester" she is able to connect with women of all ages and stages of life. Cathy has served in various ministries over the years: Women's Ministries, Sunday school teacher, working with youth groups, speaking at and organizing retreats for women and as a stay-at-home mom, who spent years homeschooling. Cathy Davis has her AA Degree in Early Childhood Education. She earned her PhD in motherhood getting one son through Marine Corps boot camp and the other through a medical crisis. Cathy and her husband Tim have been married 28 years and live in Riverside, CA. They have always been active and play a leadership role in their local church.
She was a Special Events Coordinator and Conference Planner for five years at a graduate school. Event planning and organization runs in her veins, so she intimately understands what goes into an event: the months of planning, logistics, working with reliable and dependable people, and having backup plans B and C in place!
Prefers a cordless lapel mic so she can walk around while speaking.
Ability to have a PowerPoint Slide presentation shown during presentation.
Prefers a music stand instead of a large podium.

"Pearls, Permission and Perspective"
Could I really be a Proverbs 31 woman after all? So many times we read through that portion of scripture and feel overwhelmed, how can I ever become that kind of woman? Give yourself permission not to be perfect! After all, who
gave us this description anyway? The answer may surprise you. Cathy shares the pearls in this proverb and encourages you to discover your own pearls.
"She is clothed with strength and dignity; and she laughs without fear of the future."
Proverbs 31:25 (New Living Translation)

"Teacups, Tears and Restoration"
Have you ever had something broken that was precious to you, your heart, your dreams, or even your hope? Can forgiveness, grace and restoration ever come? YES! The Lord can take the broken shards and put them back together in a new way for His glory. Cathy share about her special teacup. This presentation compliments a Ladies Tea theme very nicely!

"Be still and know that I am God." ~ Psalm 46:10
Cathy takes you on a journey looking at three parts of this verse. Be: Who am I to be? What has God called you and me to be? How can I be the best me possible? Know where you are vulnerable. Stop comparing yourself to others. Still: Why is it so hard to be still? Why can't I quiet my mind and heart and focus on the Lord during my devotional time? What are some strategies to help me. Could it be as simple as reporting for duty! Know: What does it mean to really know someone? What do I know and believe about God? What do I know and believe about God's love for me? What can we learn from Hannah, the mother of Samuel. Also reminding us, it's not how you start, but how you finish, and we all start at the foot of the cross.

"Your Treasure"
Where is Your Treasure? What do You Treasure?
Who do You Treasure?
Do you know how much you are treasured by Jesus? What do you have in your treasure chest? Where is your
treasure? What are you storing up in heaven? Do you have treasure you can share with others?
Treasure\ noun, 1. any person or thing considered of value or held in high esteem. 2. to save up for future use. 3. to value greatly.
A person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God. ~ Luke 12:21
