A passionate music composer and pianist, Brittany utilizes her talents and her keyboard to bring the symphonic melodies inside her to life. She has been playing the piano for over 20 years and composing music since her single digits. A true music geek, Brittany embraces her gift, by diligently studying her favorite composer's work, such as John Powell, Harry Gregson-Williams, and Hans Zimmer. The music flows effervescently in her head, and she always endeavors to challenge herself and grow. She not only composed piano, but uses many instruments on her keyboard. She dreams of composing elegant scores that will dazzle every ear in the world.

I would love to write background music for short videos or films, maybe even local films, commercials, online videos, etc. I typically write music fairly quickly. Depending on my mood and the unfriendly case of writer's block, of course. If I'm in the zone, I can write a 3 minute piece in about an hour. This usually includes 3 instruments, piano, a string of choice, and a wind of choice. For more complex songs, or when I get crazy and endeavor to create a film score, I would say anywhere from one week to one month. I like to tell a story with my music, versus writing radio hits. I'm open to suggestions and ideas. I also wouldn't mind collaborating on a piece if the project required it.
Like many musicians, I live and breathe music. I am a mother, wife, a LDS. I dabble in just about every aspect of the arts. I grew up a competitive gymnast, dancer, and joined performing arts groups. I sang and took piano lessons from my single digits, and composed my first piano solo at eight. It was mildly impressive. I became a professional cosmetologist at seventeen. I started writing at 19 and completed 5 unpublished novels. I enjoy oil painting and photography. A true artist at heart, however, music has always been my greatest joy. While writing radio songs sounds great, it has never been my forte. (Pun intended) I am much better creating 'film score' sounds. I have attended college for my bachelors in Music, but I have not completed it. Mostly, my music comes from the heart, as it did when I was a child. My family would tell you I hear symphonies in my head, and it is spot on. They keep me awake at night and inspire me throughout the day. I would love to expand my resume and get my music heard by those willing to collaborate artistic projects.
I have a keyboard I like to use. I have a software that allows me to transfer my music into sheet form, or edit it. I do not have any video equipment, however, so if I am writing to fit a video clip, film, etc, I would need a way to view the reel. I also don't have anything beyond a simply CD burner to transfer my music onto a CD/DVD. I am not a tec-tard, I am a musician. I find them to be completely opposite.
