Benjamin Reynolds began his performative career as a double bassist in 1995…

…or at least, he would have, if the school Benjamin was attending had any basses in his size.

Two years of cello later, his study began in earnest. After performing in Senior District, All State, and Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra’s, concluding with a two week tour of Estonia, Latvia, and Russia, Benjamin went to Ithaca College to study Double Bass Performance. After graduating in 2008, he moved back to Boston to continue teaching, as he had been since 2003, and performing as a freelance musician.

At college, Ben joined up with the ICircus (Ithaca Collge = ICircus, it was clever right?) group and began developing his craft as a circus performer in earnest. Ball, ring, and club juggling were all taken up, along with beginning to delve headlong into the fine art of contact juggling. Fire performance was first introduced in Ithaca as well, with his debut performance at the (of all things) International Drag Expo, held at the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport.

Back in Boston, Ben joined up with the Boston Circus Guild, and has been building his local and national show ever since!
