About
LaUra Born in Uzbekistan into an artistic family,studied classical ballet, as well as various Russian and Uzbek folk dance forms. Since the age of 15 she has been devoted to the art of Middle-Eastern dance.
This amazing artist began her professional career in Lebanon, later touring in the UAE, Yemen, Switzerland and India. Today her remarkable talent shines brightly in the creative epicenter of the world – New York City.
LaUra’s masterful artistry has developed over many years of study with prominent dancers: Samara of Lebanon, Yousri Sharif, Delilah, Laurel Victoria Gray, Raqia Hassan, Aida Nour, Tito, Kodr Muminov, Hassan Afifi and Margo Kalfayan. She has performed extensively in the US. Among the celebrities she has danced for are Enrique Iglesias, Milla Jovovich, Cameron Diaz, Mary J Blige, Beyonc. She has shared the stage with the Arabic stars Nawal El-Zoghbi and Fadel Chaker.
She featured in numerous videos including Suzy Evans’ IAMED video Belly Dance-o-Rama-2 and Ana Berna’s Belly Dance TV: Volume 3.
LaUra is the founder, director, and choreographer of Belly Trance -- a New York City based troupe, which brings to life LaUra’s dazzling vision of dance in stunning Las Vegas style performances.
Influences
Born in Uzbekistan into an artistic family of dancers and poets, LaUra studied classical ballet, as well as various Russian and Uzbek folk dance forms.
Since the age of 15 she has been devoted to the art of Middle-Eastern dance.
This amazing artist began her professional career in Lebanon, later touring in the UAE, Yemen, Switzerland and India performing in a Five star hotels and resorts with live band and big stages.
What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 15 - 30 minutes
Classic Solo Belly Dance Performance(25-30 min)
First half of the performance is dancing with props as wings, veils, finger cymbals, balancing a sword or a tray of candles. The second half of the show is audience participation, “Guest of Honor” may be asked to participate and belly dance as well as the guests!!!
Weddings(25 – 30min)
LaUra will be happy to help you plan all the details of the wedding performance (coordinating costume colors, special songs, and guests to dance with)
Performance & Lesson(30 – 45min)
This package is perfect for bridal showers, sweet sixteen’s and baby showers. It includes a choreographed show and belly dance lesson for all your friends. LaUra will provide hip scarves and veils for the participants!
“Las Vegas Style” Belly Dance Show by BellyTrance (30 – 40min / Up to 6 Dancers)
This package is suggested for large parties, weddings, concerts, or corporate events. Audience participation is involved, if requested. The show is choreographed in a non-stop fashion with lots of changing of costumes and props.

Live Drummer available~ drummer plays along during the show.
Additional Notes:
• A safe and adequate space for the performer shall be provided. This includes a floor or stage space that is free of broken glass, spilled liquids, or other hazardous objects.
• A sound system with CD / IPOD playing capabilities shall be provided, preferably in the same room in which the performance is to take place. The sound system is an important part of the show and should be tested prior to the arrival of the performers. Louder is better.
