PROPS
The performances incorporate modern and classical styles of bellydance with a variety of exciting props to choose from, such as fan veils, isis wings, candelabra (using real lit candles), sword, cane, silk veils and finger cymbals.
MIDDLE EASTERN THEMES or BACKGROUNDS
The shows can be custom made to accommodate a particular Middle Eastern background of the guests (Lebanese, Israeli, Egyptian, Moroccan, Turkish, Greek, etc.)
COSTUME
Alexandra wears only top of the line beautiful AUTHENTIC costumes beaded with rhinestones, crystals using the finest fabrics. Color themes can be matched to your event. She will normally wear the classical two piece costume, but if a full covered dress if desired, just let her know!
BIOGRAPHY
Alexandra Lenis – Middle Eastern Dance Artist
Alexandra Lenis owns and directs the Art of Bellydance Studio and Performance Space in Miami Beach, Florida, a dance school dedicated to educating, inspiring and diffusing this ancient art form.
Having danced and taught in South Florida and internationally for over 10 years, She has also been featured in National TV networks and media; Telemundo, Univision, MegaTV and the Miami Herald.
Alexandra has also traveled extensively to learn dances and cultures of the Middle East, including to Egypt, Turkey and Morocco.
Ms. Lenis was a special guest artist in various dance productions and dance festivals from Miami to China and Hong Kong. A member of the Mid Eastern Dance Exchange, (a non-profit organization), she danced in the theater production of "40 Days and 1001 Nights," and in several of the renown “Orientalia” dance festivals (2003, 2004, 2005). She was part of the legendary Emerald Dreams Dance Company under the direction of her main dance mentor and teacher, the internationally acclaimed interpretative Middle Eastern dancer and published author Tamalyn Dallal.
In 2005, together with Ms. Dallal, she organized an educational dance retreat in the remote Siwa Oasis of Egypt.
Her favorite dance style is Egyptian, which has inspired her to study with Egyptian dance legends such as Raqia Hassan, Dina, Yousry Sharif, Mahmoud Reda. Such strong technique and in depth knowledge allows her to teach students from beginner to advance and professional levels.

What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 10 - 60 minutes
TYPES OF SHOW:
SHORT MINI SHOW OR BELLYGRAM (10 – 15 minutes)
This package can consist of a performance with and entrance with one or two props and a short audience participation session. This choice is ideal as a surprise for birthdays, restaurants, offices and for parties where multiple entertainers are performing.
CLASSIC BELLY DANCE ROUTINE (25 – 30 minutes)
The show consist of a grand entrance using props such as veils, Isis wings or candelabra then it will continue with finger cymbals, sword or cane and the will finish of with audience participation. This choice is perfect for weddings, corporate events, theme parties or family celebrations or to get any party started!
MINI CLASS PARTY COMBO (1 hour)
This is the PERFECT option to create unique women-only events such as bachelorette parties, baby showers, bridals showers, etc. This option includes a mini-performance (15 minutes) followed by a 45 minute belly dance class. Loaner coin belts (or for sale) as available upon request.
