Zizania Swing

I truly cannot recommend Zizania Swing enough. They were one of the absolute highlights of our wedding, and I am so incredibly grateful we found them.

Our original wedding band fell through fairly close to our wedding, which was devastating because having live jazz was such a huge part of the vision I had for our day. We wanted our wedding to feel romantic, timeless, intimate, and almost like stepping into an old cocktail lounge for the evening. Zizania Swing came to our rescue and somehow took that vision and made it even better than I imagined.

They were absolutely phenomenal.

The talent in this group is unbelievable. From the moment they started playing, they completely transformed the atmosphere of our wedding. They created exactly the feeling we had hoped for, and our guests could not stop talking about them. We received SO many compliments throughout the night and afterward about how incredible the band was. People were genuinely blown away.

They were also an absolute dream to work with. They were professional, flexible, communicative, incredibly easygoing, and so reasonably priced, especially considering the level of talent and professionalism they brought to our wedding. After the stress we experienced with our original band, working with Zizania Swing was such a breath of fresh air. They made everything easy and allowed us to simply be excited about having live music again.

A very special shoutout to Josh, who helped make all of this possible. From the beginning, he was wonderful to work with and helped take something that had become incredibly stressful for us and turn it into one of my favorite parts of our entire wedding. I cannot thank him enough.

Zizania Swing didn’t feel like just another wedding vendor. They became part of the experience. Looking around our reception, seeing everyone we love together, and hearing this incredible live jazz playing in the background is something I will remember for the rest of my life.

If you are considering booking them, DO IT. You will not regret it. They are incredibly talented, wonderful to work with, reasonably priced, and worth every penny. If I ever have another event where live music makes even a little bit of sense, I would book Zizania Swing again in a heartbeat.

Thank you, Josh and everyone in Zizania Swing, for coming to our rescue and helping bring our vision to life. You helped make our wedding feel like an absolute dream, and we are forever grateful. 🤍

What a great time we had with Zizania Swing at OBC Swing Days of Summer. They hit it out of the park and they really enjoy playing for dancers. We will have them back soon.

I couldn't more highly recommend Zizania if you are looking for a jazz band for your event. The first time I heard them, I was extremely impressed with their sound, and we try to book them at least twice a year at Cats Corner, our swing dance venue in Fort Collins.
