Zippy Josh & The Rag Tag Band is a three-piece punk band from Ventura County. Guitarist and singer/songwriter Josh Handley, a former member of Officer Negative, heads up the trio. By taking the attitude of punk rock and channeling it through acoustic instruments, Zippy Josh has come up with his sound with inspiration drawn from punk, folk, country, and bluegrass, as well as artists such as Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, and The Violent Femmes to name a few. Zippy Josh & the Rag Tag Band have two albums available on various streaming platforms and are currently working on new material. The band currently consists of Johnny David on bass and Jak Thorpe on drums/percussion. When this act comes out to your town come and see them! It’ll be a good time had by all!
