Originally from Nova Scotia, Zel is a graduate of Ryerson Theatre School. She has been training aerial circus for over fifteen years, with specialties in aerial hoop, chains, and mini cube. She is a regular performer at Toronto’s infamous Lunacy Cabaret, and has performed for Zero Gravity Circus, the Krampus Ball, and Toronto International Circus festival, and a huge variety of public and private events.
Zel has worked in stage management and production roles for Toronto Pride, multiple Toronto Fringe shows, Zero Gravity Circus, Lunacy Cabaret, and the Toronto International Circus Festival.
She also creates and models her own costumes, builds props and accessories, plays with fire, creates costumed characters, and is a professional circus rigger.
Additional Booking Notes
Aerial setup requires an engineered and rated point capable of supporting a minimum of 1100 pounds, or a structurally secure place to create such a point. A ladder, lift, scaffold or other method of sufficient height to reach the point for safe working must be provided. Rigging must be set up comfortably in advance of the showtime.
For acts with preset music, a plug in via headphone cable, CD, or digital file to play music must be provided.
Any additional theatrical lighting must be provided.
