Zana's Dance

I have been dancing for over six years now and have had the honor of taking classes with Lilya, Julia Zay, Moonsilver, Suhailia, amongst other amazing teachers. The past three years I have brought together a combination of belly dance to working with fire and flow with fans, torches, amongst other interesting fire techniques. I have trained at wildfire retreat and with other teachers throughout the north east. I work continuously to build my skills both as a flow performer and as a dancer. Elegant , graceful, confident , fun , creative and happy to share my love of this beautiful rich dance as well as the beauty that is fire and flow and the artistry when you bring the two together. I am skilled with various props within the world of bellydance as well as an ever expanding vocabulary both in dance and fire and flow.. I began my performing experiences just about four years ago at what would best be called an open bellydance circle also called a hafla.
I have performed through out the tri-state area at Rakkasah, Temple Night, Club Bellydance, Bing Bamboo Burlesque Variety, Cafe Raqs among other solo as well as troupe performances. As a fire performer I have performed through out upstate New York both as a soloist and part of DragonFire. I will work with you to create the atmosphere and program that will fit your event be it a renaissance fair or a wedding. As a very adaptive performer I can work easily and with little strain if things arise and work well families of all sizes. I will work professionally , patiently, creatively, enthustiasticly, and collaboratively to build that unique program just for your event. As a performer things will be on time, thrilling, rich in scope and professional.

If fire is your desire a definitive space will have to be set to allow for audience safety. I will also have my own fire watch as well as insurance rider.
