About
Zaeskee Alazae – Artist Bio
Emerging from the vibrant streets of Chicago’s West Side, Zaeskee Alazae is a bold, genre-bending artist blending Alternative R&B, Hip-Hop, and Afro Pop into a sound he defines as Comic Soul. His music is raw, melodic, and emotionally rich — a sonic fusion that brings storytelling, street culture, and soul into perfect balance.
Zaeskee’s musical roots run deep. Raised in a gospel household, he grew up surrounded by music through his father and siblings, members of the gospel group The Whiteheads. By age eight, Zaeskee was playing piano by ear, inspired by legendary voices like Sam Cooke, James Brown, The Staple Singers, and BeBe & CeCe Winans. As he matured, he fused those gospel foundations with secular influences — crafting a signature sound built on passion, rhythm, and spiritual depth.
His industry journey began in 1999, when he produced and wrote over 70% of the Karachi Compilation Album under Private I Records as a member of the R&B group P.M.P. This marked Zaeskee’s first professional milestone — showcasing his talents as both a vocalist and a producer.
In the early 2000s, Zaeskee discovered and introduced Lupe Fiasco to Shorty Capone, helping launch the legendary rapper’s career. This introduction led to the formation of 1st & 15th Entertainment and Lupe’s debut album — which was executive produced by Jay-Z and eventually went platinum. This moment proved Zaeskee’s elite A&R instincts and influence on Chicago’s hip-hop landscape.
In 2007, he produced “Quest Fa Success” by J.D. Walker featuring Zaeskee, followed by the gritty and soulful “Down by the Railroad.” He deepened collaborations with Raw Dope Records, Do or Die, Crucial Conflict, and multi-platinum producer Mike Dean.
By 2012, Zaeskee expanded into sync and TV licensing — contributing music to shows like Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, and the OWN documentary How Bruce Lee Changed the World. He also worked with Groove Quest, Island Records Chicago, and Niecy Jay.
In 2020, he released the gospel single “Come As You Are”, written, produced, and performed under his legal name Albert Whitehead. That same year, he produced the full “Night After Night” album for N.A.N. Tavo under Muwu Ent, showcasing his range and executive-level production skills.
In 2019, he founded his label and production company Beat Accountants, giving him total creative control and the ability to shape the next generation of music.
In 2022, he released his debut album Belly Gang featuring Belo (Do or Die) and Gotti (Cash Money), and also penned “Tennessee” for Phantom, produced by G Graves, distributed through Duncan Group / Bungalo / Universal Music Group.
In 2024, Zaeskee produced “STIX STIX” by ReUp Ty, released through Duncan Group, Bungalo, and UMG, continuing his momentum with high-level collaborations.
Now in 2025, Zaeskee is gearing up for his highly anticipated follow-up album, Belly Gang 2, featuring the explosive singles “DOF” (ft. Sisi Dior), “She A Beast” (ft. Ayoo KD), and “U Wanna Argue” (ft. Never of Crucial Conflict).
Zaeskee Alazae isn’t just creating music — he’s building a legacy.
